Mike began his real estate career in December 1984 just before his 21st birthday. Since then he has gone on to close over 1,000 transactions including new and resale homes, land, multi-family/investment property, and even a few commercial transactions.
In 1991, in the North part of Kansas City, Mike was very involved in starting and operating what became one of the top residential real estate firms in the Metro KC area. At it’s peak the company had over 110 agents and was ranked in the top 10 residential firms according to the Kansas City Business Journal.
In 2005 Mike accepted the position of Regional Vice President for the franchise company his office was affiliated with. In 2006 he sold his ownership interest in the office/company he helped build and focused his energy on growing the 4 state region until early 2008 when the economy and real estate markets crashed. Following this difficult time Mike did a lot of soul searching and ultimately returned to real estate sales and left the franchise company after nearly 20 years. He joined Reece & Nichols Realtors in Overland Park, KS where he worked for 3 years through the market downturn. In the fall of 2012 Mike was presented with an opportunity with Weichert Realtors Graham-Welch, LLC to manage and market a new homes community in Lenexa, KS. Having worked in new homes years earlier Mike reconnected with his love of real estate and new construction.
Today Mike works with 2 different new home communities and continues to work the resale market with his past clients, friends, and new acquaintances looking to buy or sell a home.
